It’s been a while since we had a contest, and what better excuse to hold a contest than someone’s birthday?

☆彡 Good or Evil Outfit Contest 彡☆
The theme of this outfit contest is Good or Evil, this theme should reflect in your outfit, but please note that the entries will be divided into 2 categories: Good, or, Evil. So make sure to make your choice of theme clear!

How to enter:
* Send a picture of your outfit that matches the theme of your choice to: lockshopwigs@gmail.com, in the subject line please write: good or evil contest + your Facebook name (so you can be tagged).
* A comment of max 200 words is allowed to explain your outfit and/or theme.
* Only one outfit per entry, and only one entry per person allowed.
* You can make a collage of multiple photos, but only one picture is allowed.
* To enter you have to like our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/Lockshopwigs)

Judging and winners:
* Entries will be posted to our Facebook page a week within the deadline has ended. People can vote on your entry by clicking the like button.
* The winners will be chosen by votes and hand picked by judges. This is to keep this contest as fair as possible!
* There will be one overall 1st place winner, and there will be two 2nd place winners, one per category! The rest will also be one.
* You can enter until Saturday the 14th of April, 11pm gmt+1

Promo pictures for our Hime Gyaru wigs!

While the beautiful Hime Gyaru wigs were our first style, we never really took promo pictures for them, except for the blonde ones! So we finally took the time to properly show
these absolutely gorgeous wigs off, since our stock fotos never did them justice!

As you can see, even though this is a wig that is quite over the top, it can be worn
in different ways and styles!

Outfit Spotlight: Lovely Nicole!

What better way to start our monthly (or bi-weekly, depending on your enthusiasm!) outfit spotlight, than with the lovely Nicole and her amazing outfit! Really, what’s not to love about it?

Nicole is wearing the Silent Moon onepiece by Moi-Même-Moitié, paired with Alice and the Pirates, Angelic Pretty, our Hime Gyaru wig in blonde and her amazing handmade headdress!

She pulls this elegant gold x white outfit perfectly, but her favorite lolita style still remains over the top sweet lolita! Besides wearing lolita, this American girl likes to do some reading, creative writing and playing video games, but she also loves to collect dragons and ponies. Her lolita must have tip is: “Shoes that work with and match your outfit!”

Tutorial: How to cut bangs in a wig!

A couple people requested a tutorial on how to cut bangs in a wig, since that can be quite tricky, so I made a video tutorial to show you how I do it! I hope you like it!

So the short version of the tutorial is basically this:
* Get sharp scissors, regular scissors won’t do.
* Have a dummy head that can be secured, so that it doesn’t fall over
* Have a comb!

-Keep in mind that a wig head is smaller than a real head, so keep the bangs long!
-Grab your comb and comb the bangs straight
-With the comb, comb through the bangs until you have the length where you want to cut it off
-Cut along the comb, repeat until you have the desired length and straightness
-Start with cutting short bits first, until you feel confident that you can cut straight
-You might want to keep the sides long for a more natural effect

That’s pretty much it! I’ve been doing it for a while now, so I can cut bangs very quickly, but remember; slow and steady!

Inspiration: Cute pastels!

With Kyary being the current cute queen, there’s no surprise that (creepy) cute has gained in popularity. Even we at Lockshop have caught the pastel bug, and all these cute, caries inducing colors leave us wanting more! One style that really matches the pastel obsession is Fairy-Kei, and it has really inspired us to bring out wigs and accesories that matches
the style, we hope to have them out soon!

New wigs for January!

Hello everyone!

The new lolita wigs for January have arrived (and we’re finally done with shooting them all!), and there are 4 new wigs, and 4 new clip-ins! And these new wigs have a bigger
skin top with a more natural parting! Yay! You can see the new wigs here!

The short curly bob in black is great if you’re going for a snow white inspired look, and the short curly bob in caramel will look great with any classic lolita, sweet lolita, mori girl and even in gyaru outfits!

The silky straight in black and caramel are great casual wigs, for a lot of different styles, but also perfect for daily wear! From gothic lolita, to gyaru, this wig will look great

The clip ins were requested a lot! They are designed to match our soft curls wigs, and are a little bit longer so you can also decide to straighten them and wear them with our silky straight wigs! They come in 4 colors (black, light blonde, lilac and soft pink), and are perfect for the cuter styles, like cult party kei, fairy kei, sweet lolita and bittersweet lolita!

The new styles are selling like hot cakes, and the soft curls in brown and auburn are almost sold out too, so if you want them, be quick!

New releases for November!

Lockshop got 4 new wigs in for this month! 2 new additions to the soft curly wigs and 2 in a new, super straight style! We hope you like them, and as usual, are open for color suggestions for these styles!

The soft curly wig comes in 2 new colors; soft pink and lilac. Both are great wigs to wear with sweet lolita, but they can still be paired with gothic lolita too! If you aren’t a big fan of lolita, but like to wear other styles like Fairy-Kei or Decora, these are great wigs for that too!

The silky straight wig also comes in 2 colors; dark brown and auburn. This wig style was inspired by the looks of asian idols. They always seem to have perfectly layered and super smooth hair-dos! This style can easily be worn day-to-day, but ofcourse it’s not misplaced in a Gyaru, Mori-Girl or a Lolita outfit! It’s super versatile!
